厥明，尚書陸琇馳啟高祖於南，高祖聞之駭惋，外寢其事，仍至汴口而還。 At dawn Director of Documents Lu Xiu sent an urgent report south. Gaozu was shaken and grieved, but outwardly he hid the affair and still rode as far as Bian mouth before turning back.
