臣松之以為陳群子泰，陸遜子抗，傳皆以子系父，不別載姓，及王肅、杜恕、張承、顧劭之流，莫不皆然，惟董允獨否，未詳其意，當以允名位優重，事蹟逾父故邪？ Pei Songzhi notes that for Chen Qun's son Tai, Lu Xun's son Kang, and others, the biographies all attach sons under fathers without separately recording the surname; Wang Su, Du Shu, Zhang Cheng, Gu Shao, and the like all follow this pattern—only Dong Yun does not. The reason is unclear; perhaps because Yun's name and rank were exalted and his achievements surpassed his father's?

姚信、樓玄、賀劭、張悌、郭逴、薛瑩、滕脩及族弟喜，抗，或清白忠勤，或姿才卓茂，皆社稷之楨干，國家之良輔。 Yao Xin, Lou Xuan, He Shao, Zhang Ti, Guo Chuo, Xue Ying, Teng Xiu, and my clansmen Xi and Kang—some pure and loyal, others splendid in talent—are pillars of the altars and fine servants of the state.

初，皓常銜凱數犯顏忤旨，加何定譖構非-，既以重臣，難繩以法，又陸抗時為大將在疆場，故以計容忍。 At first Sun Hao resented Lu Kai for repeatedly speaking bluntly and defying his will, and He Ding piled on slander. Because Kai was a senior minister, Hao could not easily punish him by law; Lu Kang still commanded on the frontier, so Hao endured it by policy.

抗卒後，竟徙凱家於建安。 After Lu Kang died, Hao at last moved Lu Kai's household to Jian'an.
