陸卬，字雲駒。 Lu Ang, styled Yunju.

卲又與卬父子彰交遊，嘗謂子彰曰：「吾以卿老蚌，遂出明珠，意欲為羣拜紀可乎？」 Xing Shao also associated with Ang and his father Zizhang. He once said to Zizhang, "I take you as the old clam that bore the pearl—shall I have the company all bow in homage?"

自梁、魏通和，歲有交聘，卬每兼官燕接。 Once Liang and Wei were at peace, embassies were exchanged every year; Ang repeatedly held concurrent posts to host the banquets.

在帝席賦詩，卬必先成，雖未能盡工，以敏速見美。 At imperial feasts when poems were set, Ang always finished first; though not always masterly, he was praised for his speed.

文襄時鎮鄴，嘉其至行，親詣門以慰勉之。 While Gao Cheng was stationed at Ye he admired Ang's conduct, came to his door in person, and comforted him.

卬母魏上庸公主，初封藍田，高明婦人也，甚有志操。 Ang's mother was the Wei princess of Shangyong, first enfeoffed as princess of Lantian—a woman of high principle and strong moral resolve.

卬昆季六人，並主所生。 Ang and his brothers were six in all, all children of the same mother.

卬兄弟相率廬於墓側，負土成墳，朝廷深所嗟尚，發詔褒揚，改其所居裏為孝終里。 Ang and his brothers built mourning huts beside the tomb and heaped the grave with their own hands; the court admired them deeply, issued a commendation, and renamed their lane Xiaozhong, "Filial End."

天保初，常山王薦卬器幹，文宣面授給事黃門侍郎，遷吏部郎中。 Early in Tianbao the prince of Changshan recommended Ang's ability; Gao Yang personally appointed him supervising secretary of the yellow gate attendant, then made him director of the ministry of personnel.

上洛王思宗為清都尹，辟為邑中正，食貝丘縣幹。 When Prince of Shangluo Sizong was magistrate of Qingdu he appointed Ang head of the local selection office with the salary of Beiqiu county.

卬聞而悲痛，一慟便絕，年四十八。 When Ang heard, he grieved; one great sob and he was gone, at forty-eight.

卬自在朝，篤慎固密，不說人短，不伐己長，言論清遠，有人倫鑒裁，朝野甚悲惜之。 In office Ang was earnest and discreet; he spoke ill of no one and boasted of nothing. His speech was clear and measured, and he judged men well. Court and country mourned him deeply.

贈衛將軍、青州刺史，諡曰文。 He was posthumously made general of the guards and inspector of Qing province, with the posthumous name Wen.

齊之效廟諸歌，多卬所制。 Many of the Qi suburban-temple hymns were Ang's work.

兄卬當襲父始平侯，以彥師昆弟中最幼，表讓封焉。 His brother Ang was due to inherit their father's marquisate of Shiping; because Yanshi was the youngest brother, Ang petitioned to yield the fief to him.
