宋昇明中，孫曇瓘謀反亡命，褚謂其子僧簡曰：「孫越州先姑之姉子，與汝父親則從母兄弟，交則義重古人。 During the Shengming era Sun Tanwan rebelled and fled. Chu told her son Sengjian: "Sun of Yuezhou is kin to your late aunt; he and your father are cousins, and their friendship was as weighty as that of the ancients.
