二十四年，命覆訊通州民婦康王氏勒斃親姑獄，白其冤，論坊官逼供罪如律。 In the twenty-fourth year (1844) he was ordered to rehear the case of the Tongzhou woman Lady Kang, who had been convicted of forcing her mother-in-law to death; he cleared her of guilt and punished the ward officials for extorting confessions as the law required.
