梁王欲求為嗣，袁盎進說，其後語塞。 When the King of Liang sought to be named heir, Yuan Ang spoke against it, and the matter was dropped.

梁王以此怨盎，曾使人刺盎。 The King of Liang bore a grudge against Ang and sent assassins after him.
