聖祖謁孝陵，經通州，山西禮縣民訴知縣萬世緯及知府紀元婪索狀，命世隆會督撫按治。 When the Kangxi Emperor visited the Xiaoling mausoleum and passed Tongzhou, people of Lixian in Shanxi accused Magistrate Wan Shiwei and Prefect Ji Yuan of extortion; Shilong was ordered to investigate jointly with the governor-general and governor.

世緯坐貪婪、科派、杖斃無罪人，元坐受賕薦世緯卓異，皆論死。 Shiwei was sentenced to death for greed, illegal levies, and beating innocents to death; Yuan was sentenced to death for taking bribes and falsely recommending Shiwei as outstanding.
