世璠將胡國柄、劉起龍出拒，承業引守備林廷燏鏖戰，自卯至午，突入賊陣，砲中額，墜馬死。 Shifan's generals Hu Guobing and Liu Qilong sallied forth. Chengye and garrison commander Lin Tingye fought from dawn to noon, broke into the rebel line, took a cannon ball in the forehead, and fell dead from his horse.

國柄等出戰，忠孝與承業、廷燏同時戰死，贈都督同知。 Guobing sallied forth; Zhongxiao fell in the same battle as Chengye and Tingye and was posthumously made Vice Commissioner-in-Chief.
