桂陽州民侯七郎毆殺從兄岳添，賄其兄學添自承。 Hou Qilang, a commoner of Guiyang Prefecture, beat his cousin Yue Tian to death and bribed his elder brother Xue Tian to confess on his behalf.

因培調福建去，巡撫常鈞庇宏燧，以七郎呼冤劾兆麟，兆麟亦入奏。 After Yinpei was transferred to Fujian, Governor Chang Jun shielded Hongsui and impeached Zhaolin, citing Qilang's cry of injustice. Zhaolin also memorialized the throne.
