是時龔貴嬪為良娣，貴妃年十歲，為之給使，後主見而說焉，因得幸，遂有娠，生太子深。 At the time Honored Consort Gong was liangdi, and the noble consort, then ten, served her. The Last Emperor saw and liked her, so she gained his favor, became pregnant, and gave birth to Crown Prince Shen.

後主自居臨春閣，張貴妃居結綺閣，龔、孔二貴嬪居望仙閣，嵭復道交相往來。 The Last Emperor lived in the Linchun Pavilion, Precious Consort Zhang in the Jieqi Pavilion, and Honored Consorts Gong and Kong in the Wangxian Pavilion, with skyways connecting them for constant visits.
