以南院大王勃古哲總領山西諸州事，北院大王、於越休哥為南面行軍都統，奚王和朔奴副之，同政事門下平章事蕭道寧領本部軍駐南京。 Southern Route great king Boguzhe was placed in overall charge of the western circuits; Northern Route great king and yuyue Xiuge was made Southern Route campaign commander-in-chief, with Xi King Heshuonu as his deputy; co-chancellor under the Gate Xiao Daoning led his own army in garrison at Nanjing.

戊寅，遣使賜於越休哥及奚王籌寧、統軍使頗德等湯藥。 On wuyin day envoys were dispatched with medicinal broth for yuyue Xiuge, Xi King Chouning, circuit military commissioner Pide, and others.

丁巳，兀惹烏昭度、渤海燕頗等侵鐵驪，遣奚王和朔奴等討之。 On dingsi day the Wu'er Wuzhaodu, Bohai Yanpo, and others invaded the Iron Li, and Xi King Heshuonu and others were dispatched to attack them.

是月，奚王和朔奴、東京留守蕭恒德等五人以討兀惹不克，削官。 That month Xi King Heshuonu, Eastern Capital regent Xiao Hengde, and three others were demoted for failing to subdue the Wu'er.

從都部署和朔奴討兀惹，未戰，兀惹請降。 He followed Chief Deployment Officer Heshuonu in the campaign against Wunai. Before battle was joined, Wunai requested surrender.

和朔奴議欲引退，恒德曰：「以彼倔強，吾奉詔來討，無功而還，諸部謂我何！ Heshuonu deliberated on withdrawing. Hengde said: "They are so stubborn, yet we came by imperial edict to chastise them. If we return without achievement, what will the tribes say of us!

和朔奴不得已，進擊東南諸部，至高麗北鄙。 Heshuonu had no choice. They advanced and attacked the southeastern tribes, reaching the northern marches of Goryeo.

統和十三年秋，為行軍都監，從都部署奚王和朔奴伐兀惹烏昭度，數月至其城。 In the autumn of Tonghe 13 he was made chief overseer of the field army and marched with the deployment commissioner, the Xi prince Heshuonu, against the Uyar leader Wuzhaodu; several months passed before they came to his stronghold.

和朔奴利其俘掠，令四面急攻。 Heshuonu, eager for captives and plunder, ordered a fierce assault from every side.

和朔奴知不能下，欲退。 Seeing the city could not be taken, Heshuonu wanted to pull back.
