又薦諸生賀瑞麟、楊樹椿篤志正學，給瑞麟國子監學正銜，樹椿翰林院待詔銜，士風為之一變。 He also recommended common students He Ruilin and Yang Shuchun for their steadfast devotion to orthodox learning; Ruilin received the title of Imperial Academy director of studies and Shuchun the Hanlin awaiting-edict title, and scholarly manners changed markedly.
