子弘敬襲其位。 His son Hongjing succeeded him.

弘敬不從，竟就加節制。 Hongjing refused, and in the end received the full commission.

鎮州王元逵下邢、洺二州，兵次上黨，弘敬方出師壓境。 Wang Yuankui of Zhenzhou had already taken Xing and Ming, and his army had reached Shangdang, before Hongjing finally marched out to threaten the border.

會昌中，從何弘敬破劉稹，以功為貝州刺史、兼御史中丞。 During the Huichang era he followed He Hongjing in defeating Liu Zhen and was made prefect of Bei and concurrent Censor-in-Chief for his service.
