戊寅，友珪易服微行入左龍虎軍，見統軍韓勍，以情告之。 On wuyin Yougui went in disguise to the Left Dragon-Tiger Army, confided in commander Han Qin, and laid bare his fear.

勍亦見功臣宿將多以小過被誅，懼不自保，遂相與合謀。 Qin too had seen meritorious officers killed for trifles and feared for himself; they took counsel together.

勍以牙兵五百人從友珪雜控鶴士入，伏於禁中； Qin brought five hundred guardsmen; Yougui mixed them with the Crane-Controlled troops and hid them inside the palace;

韓勍為友珪謀，多出府庫金帛，賜諸軍及百官以取悅。 Han Qin schemed for him, emptying much gold and silk from the treasury to buy the armies and the officials.

開平四年，以景仁為北面招討使，將韓勍、李思安等兵伐趙，行至魏州，司天監言：「太陰虧，不利行師。」 In the fourth year of Kaiping Jingren was made northern-route pacification commissioner and led Han Qing, Li Si’an, and others against Zhao. At Weizhou the Directorate of Astronomy said: “The moon is in eclipse—unfavorable for taking the field.”

是日，景仁及晉人戰，大敗於柏鄉，景仁歸訴於太祖，太祖曰：「吾亦知之，蓋韓勍、李思安輕汝為客，不從節度爾。」 That day Jingren fought the Jin and was routed at Baixiang. Jingren returned and complained to Taizu. Taizu said: “I know it too—Han Qing and Li Si’an look down on you as an outsider and would not obey your command.”
