東魏東雍州刺史郭叔略與雄接境，頗為邊患。 Guo Shulue, Eastern Wei's governor of East Yong province, held a neighboring post and was a persistent threat on the border.

略出馳之，雄自後射之，再發咸中，遂斬略首。 Shulue rode out in pursuit; Xiong shot him from behind, both arrows struck home, and he cut off Shulue's head.
