甲子，命右丞相也速，太尉知院脫火赤，中書平章政事忽林臺，平章政事貊高，知樞密院事小章、典堅帖木兒、江文清、驢兒等會楊誠、陳秉直、伯顏不花、俞勝各部諸軍同守禦山東，又命關保往援山東。 On the jiazi day the right chief minister Yesu, Grand Commandant and Bureau director Toγači, chief minister Qolin Tai, chief minister Mo Gao, Bureau directors Xiao Zhang, Tegün Temür, Jiang Wenqing, Lü'er, and others were ordered to join Yang Cheng, Chen Bingzhi, Bayan Buhua, Yu Sheng, and the troops of each division in jointly defending Shandong; Guan Bao was also ordered to go to aid Shandong.

於是關保退屯潞州，商暠留屯潼關。 Thereupon Guan Bao withdrew to garrison at Luzhou and Shang Gao remained garrisoned at Tong Pass.

二十八年春正月壬申朔，皇太子命關保固守晉寧，總統諸軍，如擴廓帖木兒拒命，當以大義相裁，就便擒擊。 In the twenty-eighth year, on the new moon of renshen in the first month of spring, the heir apparent ordered Guan Bao to hold Jinning firmly and take overall command of all armies; if Köke Temür resisted orders, he should be restrained by righteous principle and captured or struck as convenient.

其晉寧諸軍，已命關保總制策應，戡定山東，將帥各宜悉心。」 The Jinning armies have already been ordered to be placed under Guan Bao's overall command for coordinated response and to pacify Shandong; commanders and generals should each devote their full effort."
