元始二年，新都侯王莽興滅繼絕，白太皇太后，立年弟子如意為廣宗王，奉代孝王后。 In Yuanshi 2, Wang Mang, Marquis of Xindu, petitioned the Grand Empress Dowager to restore the extinct line. Nian's nephew Ruyi was enfeoffed as King of Guangzong to continue King Xiao of Dai's line.

後二歲，莽白太皇太后立孝王玄孫之曾孫沛郡卒史音為梁王，奉孝王后。 Two years later Wang Mang persuaded the Grand Empress Dowager to install Yin, a registrar from Pei Commandery and a remote descendant of King Xiao, as king of Liang so that King Xiao's line would continue.
