淮南王盜寫虎符，陰聘名士，關東公孫勇等詐為使者，是皆廓地泰大，征伐不休之故也。 The king of Huainan forged the tiger tally and hired secret partisans; east of the passes men such as Gongsun Yong posed as imperial envoys. All of it sprang from overgrown frontiers and endless war.

歲餘，故城父令公孫勇與客胡倩等謀反，倩詐稱光祿大夫，從車騎數十，言使督盜賊，止陳留傳捨，太守謁見，欲收取之。 Former magistrate Gongsun Yong and Hu Qian forged credentials as an imperial inspector at Chenliu until the local governor moved to arrest them.

而公孫勇衣繡衣，乘駟馬車至圉，圉使小史侍之，亦知其非是，守尉魏不害與廄嗇夫江德、尉史蘇昌共收捕之。 Gongsun Yong rode into Yu in counterfeit splendor until petty clerks and Commander Wei Buhai arrested him with Jiang De and Su Chang.
