丁父憂回旗，留京，遷理籓院侍郎，兼副都統，調工部。 After observing mourning for his father he returned to his banner but stayed in the capital, became vice minister of the Court of Colonial Affairs and concurrent vice banner commander, and was then transferred to the Ministry of Works.
