宣帝幸太子宮，受迎謁應對，及置酒宴，奉觴上壽，辭禮閑雅，上甚歡說。 When Emperor Xuan visited the heir's palace, Shou received him with flawless courtesy; at the banquet he raised the toast with such grace that the emperor was delighted.

後王廢，宣帝立，大將軍光領尚書事，條奏群臣諫昌邑王者皆超遷。 After the king was deposed and Emperor Xuan took the throne, Grand General Guang directed the Masters of Writing and memorialized that every minister who had remonstrated the king of Changyi should be promoted out of turn.

三年，宣帝崩，元帝立，以定國任職舊臣，敬重之。 Three years later Emperor Xuan died and Emperor Yuan succeeded him; as an old minister still in office, Dingguo was held in high regard.

施者，宣帝長女，成帝姑也，賢有行，永以選尚焉。 Shi was Emperor Xuan's eldest daughter and Emperor Cheng's aunt, a woman of virtue and good repute; Yong was chosen as her consort.
