胡广曰：「光禄大夫，本为中大夫，武帝元狩五年置谏大夫为光禄大夫，世祖中兴，以为谏议大夫。 Hu Guang said: "The Household Grandee was originally the Middle Grandee; in the fifth year of Yuanshou under Emperor Wu remonstrating grandees were made household grandees, and at Guangwu's restoration they became remonstrating grandees.

前书武帝置期门，平帝更名虎贲。 The Former Book records that Emperor Wu created the Gate of Expected Arrival and Emperor Ping renamed it the rapid guard.

本武帝以便马从猎，还宿殿陛巖下室中，故号巖郎。 Emperor Wu first rode light mounts on the hunt and billeted his escort under the hall steps, whence the nickname “gallery guard.”
