其日，先引臣僚于殿門外立，陪位立殿前班露臺左右，皇帝于露臺香案拜如上儀。 That day officials stood outside the gate; companions flanked the open terrace before the hall; the emperor bowed at the terrace incense table as above.

十八年，上拜日于仁政殿，始行東向之禮。 In year 18 the emperor bowed to the sun at Renzheng Hall and first used the east-facing rite.

皇帝出殿，東向設位，宣徽贊：「拜。」 The emperor left the hall to an east-facing station; the Palace Attendant called: "Bow."

皇帝再拜，上香，訖，又再拜。 The emperor bowed twice, offered incense, then bowed twice again.

十七年，賀正旦禮物，玉帶乃石似玉者，有司請移問，上曰：「彼小國無能識者，誤以為玉耳，不必移問。」 In the seventeenth year the New Year's gifts included a belt of stone that resembled jade. Officials proposed a formal inquiry, but the emperor said, "That small state lacks experts—they mistook stone for jade. No inquiry is needed."

十二月，有司奏高麗下節押馬官順成例外將帶甲三過界，上以使人所坐罪重，但令發還本國而已。 In the twelfth month officials reported that during the lower festival Goryeo's horse-escort officer Shuncheng had brought three armored men across the border without authorization. Though the offense was serious, the emperor ordered only their repatriation.
