建武中，明帝乃省重蓋等。 In the Jianwu era, Emperor Ming abolished the double canopy and similar additions.

宋末用繡及織成，建武中，明帝以織成重，乃采畫爲之，加飾金銀薄，世亦謂爲天衣。 Late Song favored embroidery and woven brocade; in the Jianwu years Ming Di judged brocade too heavy and had the robe painted instead, edged with gold and silver foil—also called heavenly garments.

明帝建武二年，通直常侍庾曇隆啓曰：「周定雒邑，天子置畿內之民； In the second year of Jianwu (495), Regular Attendant Yu Tanlong memorialized: "When the Zhou fixed their capital at Luoyi, the Son of Heaven settled the people of the capital domain;

明帝立，欲以聞喜公遙欣爲荊州，轉昭粲爲右將軍，中書令。 When Emperor Ming took the throne, intending to appoint Yaoxin, Duke of Wenxi, to Jing Province, he reassigned Zhaocan as General of the Right and Director of the Secretariat.

明帝十一男：敬皇后生東昏侯寶卷，江夏王寶玄，鄱陽王寶寅，和帝； Emperor Ming had eleven sons: Empress Jing bore Bao Juan, Marquis of Donghun; Bao Xuan, Prince of Jiangxia; Bao Yin, Prince of Poyang; and the Emperor He;
