泰定元年，初開經筵，首命澄與平章政事張珪、國子祭酒鄧文原為講官。 In the first year of Taiding (1324), when the Classics Lecture was first established, Wu Cheng was among the first appointed, together with Grand Councillor Zhang Gui and Director of Education Deng Wenyuan, to serve as lecturers.
