嘉慶十二年，諭成親王永星議復圈馬，大學士戴衢亨等會議，立章程十條，圈馬仍舊。 Jiaqing 12 (1807) the throne ordered Prince Cheng Yongxing to study restoring corral herds; Grand Secretary Dai Yuheng's conference produced ten regulations and reinstated the old system.

十三年，命偕尚書戴衢亨察視南河。 In the thirteenth year he and Minister Dai Quheng were ordered to inspect the Southern Canal.

與衢亨通籌河工，具得要領，帝嘉之。 With Quheng he planned the river works thoroughly and won the emperor's praise.

复偕衢亨清查兩淮鹽務，責鹽政每年雜費悉報部覈銷，以息浮議。 With Quheng he also audited Lianghuai salt affairs, requiring all annual miscellaneous expenses to be reported to the ministry for audit, to end loose talk.

自給事中花傑劾蘆鹽加價，連及大學士戴衢亨，不得直，且被譴，遂無敢言者。 After Supervising Secretary Hua Jie impeached the Changlu salt price hike and implicated Grand Secretary Dai Yuheng, he failed to obtain justice and was rebuked, and thereafter no one dared speak.

給事中花傑劾戴衢亨、英和援引，詔元之文字本佳，斥傑詆訐，尋亦罷元之入直。 Censor Hua Jie impeached Dai Quheng and Yinghe for patronage. The emperor declared that Yuanzhi's writing was excellent and rebuked Jie for slander, but soon dismissed Yuanzhi from Southern Library service as well.
