先是，御史中丞崔彧得玉璽於木華黎國王曾孫世德家，其文曰「受命於天，既壽永昌」，上之於后，至是，后手授成宗。 Earlier the Censor-in-Chief Cui Yu had obtained the jade seal in the home of Shide, great-grandson of Prince Muqali. Its inscription read "Receiving the mandate from Heaven, long life and eternal prosperity." He presented it to the empress, and on this occasion she personally handed it to Temür.

是時，御史中丞崔彧好盛氣待人，他御史拜謁，或平受之，獨見賡，則待以上客。 The censor-in-chief Cui Yu was overbearing toward his colleagues; when other censors called on him he often received them as equals, but he treated Geng as an honored guest.

至元十四年，世祖遣中丞崔彧祀南嶽，就訪隱逸。 In 1277, Emperor Shizu sent Censor-in-Chief Cui Yu to perform rites at Mount Heng and to inquire after reclusive worthies on the way.

彧兄湖南行省參政崔斌言康隱衡山，學通天文地理。 Yu's elder brother Cui Bin, a vice administrator of the Hunan Branch Secretariat, told him that Kang was living in seclusion on Mount Heng and was versed in astronomy and geography.

彧還，具以聞，遣使召康，與斌偕至京師。 On his return, Yu reported this in full to the court, which dispatched an envoy to summon Kang; he and Bin traveled together to the capital.
