《隋書》列李士謙、崔廓、廓子賾、徐則、張文詡為《隱逸傳》。 The History of Sui lists Li Shiqian, Cui Kuo, Cui Ze, Xu Ze, and Zhang Wenxu in its 'Biographies of Recluses.'

崔廓，字士玄，博陵安平人也。 Cui Kuo, styled Shixuan, was a native of Anping in Boling.

廓少孤貧，母賤，由是不為邦族所齒。 Kuo was orphaned and poor from youth; his mother was of low station, and for this reason the clan did not count him among their own.

士謙死，廓哭之慟，為之作傳，輸之秘府。 When Shiqian died, Kuo mourned him with deep grief, wrote his biography, and submitted it to the imperial archive.

士謙妻盧氏寡居，每家事，輒令人諮廓取定。 Shiqian's widow, Lady Lu, would send someone to consult Kuo on every household matter.

廓嘗著論言刑名之理，其義甚精，文多不載。 Kuo once wrote a treatise on the principles of law and punishment; its argument was very fine, though most of the text is not preserved here.

崔廓子賾 Cui Kuo's son Ze

崔廓，字士玄，博陵安平人也。 Cui Kuo, styled Shixuan, was a native of Anping in Boling Commandery.

廓少孤貧而母賤，由是不為邦族所齒。 Kuo was orphaned young and poor, and his mother was of low status; for this reason the clan and local community did not regard him as their equal.

與郡李士謙為忘言之友，每相往來，時稱崔、李。 With Li Shiqian of the commandery he was a friend who needed no words, visiting each other constantly; in their day they were called Cui and Li.

及士謙死，廓哭之慟，為之作傳，輸之秘府。 When Shiqian died, Kuo mourned him bitterly, composed a biography for him, and submitted it to the Imperial Archives.

士謙妻盧氏寡居，每有家事，輒令人諮廓取定。 Shiqian's widow, Lady Lu, whenever there was a household matter would have someone consult Kuo for a decision.

郭嘗著論，言刑名之理，其義甚精，文多不載。 Kuo once wrote a treatise on the principles of law and nomenclature; though its argument was exceedingly fine, most of the work was never preserved.
