故自崔鴻死後，迄終偉身，二十許載，時事蕩然，萬不記一，後人執筆，無所憑據，史之遺闕，偉之由也。 From Cui Hong's death until Wei's own end—roughly twenty years—the events of the age were left in chaos; scarcely one in ten thousand was recorded, and later historians had nothing to work from. The gaps in the history were Wei's doing.
