崔瓘，博陵人也。 Cui Guan came from Boling.

瓘到官，政在簡肅，恭守禮法。 When Guan took up his post his administration was spare and strict; he reverently upheld ritual and law.

瓘惶遽走，逢玠兵至，遂遇害。 Guan fled in panic, ran into Zhi's soldiers, and was slain.

國珍守黔溪，瓘修禮法，括推誠馭下，元甫為政寬簡，少遊規檢集事，皆可稱者。 Guozhen held the Qian streams secure, Guan restored ritual and law, Kuo dealt sincerely with subordinates, Yuanfu governed with lenience and simplicity, and Shaoyou kept to regulations and brought affairs to completion—each has something to praise.

崔瓘，博陵人，以士行修謹聞。 Cui Guan, a man of Boling, was known for cultivated conduct and careful propriety.

大歷中，遷湖南觀察使，時將吏習寬弛，不奉法，瓘稍以禮法繩裁之，下多怨。 In the Dali era he was transferred to Hunan observation commissioner; at the time generals and clerks were accustomed to laxness and did not obey the law; Guan gradually restrained them with ritual and law, and those below bore much resentment.

瓘聞難，惶懼走，遇害，帝悼惜之。 Guan heard of the calamity, fled in panic, and met his death; the emperor mourned and prized him.
