穆宗貴妃，神宗生母，上尊號曰慈聖皇太后，惟時神宗十歲，政事皆由兩宮抉擇，命大臣施行，亦未嘗居垂簾之名也。 while the Muzong Emperor's honored consort, the Shenzong Emperor's birth mother, received the title Ci Sheng Empress Dowager. The Shenzong Emperor was then only ten; the two palaces decided affairs of state and ordered ministers to carry them out, yet they too never took the name of ruling from behind a screen.
