與左翼副都統承燕、右翼副都統克蒙額籌應變策，遣軍士畫陴而守，兩軍合戰，自申及亥不少休。 With the left vice commander Cheng Yan and the right vice commander Ke Meng'e he planned their response, posted men along the walls, and fought the new army from mid-afternoon until late evening without respite.

承燕同時投井死。 Cheng Yan drowned himself in a well at the same time.
