所居近大溪，多修竹，自號竹溪逸民。 His dwelling lay beside a great stream surrounded by tall bamboo, and he styled himself the Recluse of Bamboo Stream.

宋濂俱為之傳。 Song Lian wrote biographies for both Yang Heng and Chen Hui.
