靈州刺史曹埿女婿劉豐與元深相交結，元因說豐以高祖英武非常，克成大業，豐自此便有委質之心，遂資遣元。 Inspector of Lingzhou Cao Qi had a son-in-law, Liu Feng, who was deeply connected with Yuan; Yuan therefore persuaded Feng that Gao Huan was extraordinarily heroic and would accomplish great enterprise; from then on Feng had the heart to pledge allegiance, and supplied Yuan for his journey.
