粵匪日熾，文鎔疏論提督向榮冒功託病，恐誤軍事，詔選將才，奏保游擊巴揚阿等九人。 The Taiping rebels grew daily stronger; Wenrong memorialized that Regional Commander Xiang Rong was claiming merit while feigning illness, fearing this would harm military affairs; the court ordered selection of capable generals, and he memorialized recommending nine men including Assistant Regional Commander Bayang'a.
