阿里不哥遣大將阿藍答兒自和林帥師至焉支山，希亮見之。 Ariq Böke sent his general Alamdar from Karakorum with an army to Yanzhi Mountain, where Xiliang was brought before him.

阿藍答兒問：「而父安在？」 Alamdar asked, "Where is your father?"

阿藍答兒熟視渾都海曰：「此言深有意焉。」 Alamdar fixed a long look on Hunduhai and said, "Those words carry a pointed meaning."

阿藍答兒以為實，免其監蒞。 Alamdar accepted this as the truth and lifted the close guard over him.

既而阿藍答兒、渾都海為大兵所殺，其殘卒北走，眾推哈剌不花為帥。 Before long Alamdar and Hunduhai were killed by Kublai's main forces. The survivors fled north and chose Hala Buqa as their leader.

遣阿藍答兒往京兆，大集官吏，置計局百四十二條以考核之，罪者甚眾，世祖每遣左丞闊闊與澄周旋其間，以彌縫其缺，及親入朝，事乃釋。 Möngke dispatched Ala'er to Jingzhao, summoned a mass gathering of officials, and imposed one hundred and forty-two audit regulations by which to investigate them; a great many were found guilty. Kublai repeatedly sent Left Assistant Minister Kökö and Cheng to intervene and mitigate the damage, and only when he went to court in person was the matter finally settled.
